Flow Loop wins SDG Tech Awards
In 2023, Flow Loop was honored with the prestigious SDG Tech Award in the Blue Water category. This recognition marks an important milestone in our mission to ensure sustainable water management and sanitation for all.
The award was presented for the fifth time by DISIE – the Danish Institute for Sustainability, and Flow Loop stood out among strong competitors such as Biomend, Split Water Nordic, and WeTap.
What is the Blue Water category?
The Blue Water category focuses on UN Sustainable Development Goal 6: “Ensure access to water and sanitation for all and sustainable management of water resources.” The award celebrates innovative solutions addressing one of the world’s most pressing challenges: Access to clean water and sustainable use of water resources.
From nomination to victory
The nomination process itself is an achievement. The SDG Tech Awards Nomination Committee works intensively to identify innovative sustainable technologies developed or implemented by startups, SMEs, and larger companies.
The winner is then selected by a jury panel comprising 15 prominent members of the Danish business community. Being nominated alone is a significant recognition of Flow Loop’s innovative work, and winning in this category underscores that the LOOP recirculating shower is a truly unique solution. Our CEO Mr. Troels Grene recieved the award.
What defines a unique solution in the Blue Water category?
For Flow Loop, it’s about a dedicated effort to save water and energy, addressing the climate crisis with a solution-oriented mindset. As clean drinking water becomes increasingly scarce, the LOOP shower offers a real solution by saving up to 80% of clean water. By recirculating shower water, it also reduces the need for water heating, achieving up to 70% energy savings.
