Vitas Group acquires Flow Loop – the shower of the future is her

Vitas Group has acquired Flow Loop ApS, an innovative start-up and leading developer of a recirculating shower called LOOP. Through a patented retrofit solution, existing bathrooms can be upgraded with a recirculating shower in under two hours. LOOP reduces water consumption by up to 80 percent and energy usage by 70 percent, without compromising on comfort or quality.

Flow Loop’s technology is based on microfiltration combined with UV purification, which eliminates 99.999% of bacteria and viruses, ensuring the highest hygiene standard. The system is also equipped with IoT monitoring, enabling continuous tracking and reporting of savings over time.

– This acquisition strengthens our commitment to sustainability and makes us an even more relevant player at a time when water scarcity and rising energy prices are becoming critical challenges, says Rebecka Spånberg, CEO of Vitas Group.

The Danish startup has already attracted considerable attention, having taken part in IKEA’s accelerator programme and refined its solution at the IKEA Test Lab in Älmhult. The shower solution is used daily in schools as well as by major companies such as Novo Nordisk, Niras, and Maersk Line.

Vitas Group’s management intends to give Flow Loop the space to continue developing with its strong entrepreneurial spirit, while also benefiting from Vitas Group’s long experience and financial strength.

 – It feels reassuring to now have a long-term and stable owner. This gives us the opportunity to focus on our core business – developing and spreading our innovation – instead of spending too much time on fundraising, says Troels Grene, CEO of Flow Loop.

With this acquisition, Vitas Group strengthens its position as a provider of sustainable solutions for future bathrooms and energy-efficient water installations.
